The three-day festival will bring together more than 100 theatre practitioners, scholars, students and cultural representatives from nine BRICS Member and Partner Countries.
With the theme “Shared Stories, Shared Futures,” the festival will showcase diverse theatrical traditions, languages and contemporary creative expressions. Participating countries include India, Thailand, Indonesia, Russia, Vietnam, Iran, South Africa, Kazakhstan and Ethiopia, with India presenting two theatre productions.
The festival will be inaugurated at the National School of Drama on 12 October, with performances held at prominent venues across New Delhi, including Kamani Auditorium, LTG Auditorium and Meghdoot Theatre. Classical, contemporary and experimental forms of theatre will be presented throughout the festival.
Alongside performances, interactive workshops and discussions will bring directors, artistes and production teams together to exchange ideas on acting, stagecraft, performance traditions, artistic vision and technical design. The National School of Drama will serve as the nodal agency for organising the festival.
