CHHAAP NIFT@Sabarmati 2026 is a flagship initiative by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) that brings India’s rich craft heritage together with contemporary design. The 8-day event will bring artisans, designers, NIFT alumni, students and craft enthusiasts together for a celebration of traditional craftsmanship, creativity and cultural heritage.

The event will feature 100+ artisans and NIFT alumni stalls, offering visitors an opportunity to discover and purchase authentic handloom and handicraft products from different parts of India.

Visitors can experience traditional crafts such as Saudagiri Block Printing, Pottery, Blue Pottery, Paper Mâché and Lac Bangles, while meeting artisans and learning about their techniques and stories.

The event also features cultural programming throughout the week, including Garba, Dandiya, Rajasthani Kalbeliya, Rajasthani folk music, Punjabi Bhangra & Giddha, along with other performances. The opening evening includes a Gujarat Police Band performance, Sabarmati Aarti, drone show and curated fashion show. NIFT
