Gandhi Shilp Bazar National

Gandhi Shilp Bazar is an initiative dedicated to promoting India’s traditional handicrafts and the skills of its artisans. The event provides craftsmen and craftswomen with an opportunity to showcase handmade products, connect with visitors and gain access to wider markets.

The 2026 Gandhi Shilp Bazar in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh, is scheduled to take place from 24 October to 2 November 2026. It is listed by the Office of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, as a State-level Gandhi Shilp Bazar. 

Visitors can explore a variety of traditional handicrafts while discovering the creativity, techniques and cultural heritage behind the products. The bazaar also creates opportunities for artisans to gain market exposure, interact directly with customers and promote their traditional crafts.

The Itanagar event offers visitors an opportunity to experience India’s diverse craft traditions, discover handmade products and appreciate the skills of artisans who continue to preserve traditional craftsmanship.
