Discover the ancient art of shaping clay at the Introduction to Hand-built Pottery (Stoneware + Glaze) course, held on consecutive Saturdays October 3, 2026, at Carpe Diem Goa. Hosted within a charming heritage home in Majorda, this comprehensive five-session course is led by the versatile Goan teaching artist Ramdas Gadekar. Tailored for beginners and art enthusiasts alike, each two-hour session runs from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and focuses entirely on the durable medium of stoneware clay rather than traditional terracotta. Over the course of the five weeks, participants explore fundamental hand-building methods—such as pinching, coiling, and slab construction—to create five distinct functional or decorative ceramic artifacts. To complete the ceramic process, every piece will be professionally glazed and fired in the studio's kiln before being handed over to the maker. The total course fee is ₹7,900 per seat, which covers all raw materials, studio apron access, and finishing glazing charges.
