Likhayee: A Forum for Poetry and Ghazal Recitation presents a special Marathi poetry gathering titled Navratri: A Confluence of Nine Voices in Marathi. Organised by the NCPA Library in collaboration with Mithi Group and conceptualised by Uttara Mone, the programme celebrates the many dimensions of Navratri through the voices of nine women poets.
The event explores themes associated with the nine manifestations of the divine feminine, including mythology, feminine energy, strength, devotion, beauty, celebration and contemporary relevance.
Moving beyond a conventional poetry recital, the programme is designed as a flowing poetic presentation in which nine distinct voices come together to create a larger, connected narrative. Each poet brings an individual perspective and style, contributing to a collective exploration of feminine expression and cultural traditions.
The event offers Marathi literature enthusiasts an opportunity to experience poetry as a shared artistic narrative while reflecting on the continuing significance of Navratri in contemporary society.
