Mysuru Dasara – Jumboo Savari
The Jumboo Savari 2026 is Karnataka's premier golden howdah elephant procession taking place on 21 October. Starting from the Mysuru Palace at 4:35 PM, the 5-km spectacular parade features caparisoned elephants, dynamic district tableaux, and royal cavalry corps moving to Bannimantap.

The Golden Howdah: Anchored by the majestic Chinnada Ambari, a 750-kg sacred teakwood howdah plated with 80 kilograms of gold that carries the idol of Goddess Chamundeshwari on a highly trained lead elephant.
Auspicious Muhurtas: Preceded by the official Nandi Dhwaja puja by the Chief Minister at 1:36 PM and the Pushparchane floral tribute at 4:10 PM, after which the march begins at the precise auspicious moment.
Grand Parade Lineup: Features over 12 caparisoned elephants, 50+ decorated regional tableaux, state folk troupes, mounted police units, and the traditional Palace camel and cavalry corps.
The Procession Route: Moves a total distance of 5 kilometers out from the Palace Balarama Gate, tracking north through Sayyaji Rao Road, KR Circle, and Devaraja Market to reach the finale grounds.
Viewing Infrastructure: Accessible via free standing areas along the streets or premium ticketed enclosures including the Palace Forecourt galleries and the final Bannimantap stadium stands.
