.NET Developer (Contract)

Skilrock Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a hands-on .NET Developer for a short-term contract. The role involves developing, enhancing and maintaining web applications and APIs, delivering tested and documented code within project timelines, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain web applications and RESTful APIs using C#, .NET Core/.NET 6+ and ASP.NET MVC/Web API.

• Build and optimize data access layers using Entity Framework and SQL Server.

• Write and optimize SQL queries, joins, stored procedures and indexes.

• Deliver assigned modules and features within sprint timelines.

• Write clean, reusable, tested and well-documented code.

• Develop unit tests and resolve defects within agreed timelines.

• Integrate third-party services and internal systems through secure REST APIs.

• Review existing code, troubleshoot performance issues and implement improvements.

• Use Git for version control, participate in code reviews and manage pull requests.

• Collaborate with QA, UI and product teams to clarify requirements and resolve issues.

• Complete documentation and knowledge transfer before the contract ends.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• 3–5 years of hands-on .NET development experience.

• Strong knowledge of C#, .NET Core/.NET 6+ and ASP.NET MVC/Web API.

• Working knowledge of Entity Framework and SQL Server.

• Experience building and consuming REST APIs.

• Proficiency with Git and version-control workflows.

• Good problem-solving, communication and time-management skills.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure DevOps or another cloud platform.

• Front-end exposure to Angular or React.

• CI/CD pipelines, Docker and Agile/Scrum practices.

• Unit-testing frameworks such as xUnit or NUnit.

Work Location: Gurugram, Haryana Contract Duration: 3 months, with possible extension Joining Preference: Immediate joiners
