President’s Trophy Boat Race

The grand finale of Kerala's spectacular water tournament, the President's Trophy Boat Race, is scheduled to take place on November 21, 2026, at the scenic Ashtamudi Lake in Kollam. Functioning as the ultimate concluding event of the high-profile Champions Boat League (CBL) Season 6, this annual regatta transforms the serene backwaters into a high-speed racing arena. The grueling 1,250-meter-long water track is laid out between the historic Thevally Palace and the houseboat terminal, providing a dramatic backdrop for the competition. Thousands of domestic and global tourists line the lakefront to witness the synchronized power of oarsmen moving in perfect unison to high-pitched traditional boat songs (Vanchippattu), cutting through the pristine waters to lay claim to the coveted rolling trophy.
