Role Description

The selected candidate will design and develop backend systems for Salesforce Commerce Cloud (B2C), focusing on integrations, performance optimization, and scalable architecture for high-traffic e-commerce platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Backend Development

• Develop custom business logic, controllers, and cartridges

• Work with JavaScript, ISML, and B2C Script APIs

Integrations

• Integrate with ERP, CRM, OMS, PIM, and payment gateways

• Use REST/SOAP APIs and webhooks

Data Architecture

• Manage product catalogs, pricing, promotions, inventory, and customer data

• Implement jobs, feeds, OCAPI/SCAPI usage

Performance & Scalability

• Optimize caching strategies and backend performance

• Troubleshoot production issues and bottlenecks

Security & Best Practices

• Ensure secure coding, logging, and error handling

• Follow SFRA/SGJC standards

Collaboration & Deployment

• Work with frontend teams, architects, and analysts

• Manage deployments via CI/CD, Business Manager, and version control

Required Skills

• 6+ years experience in SFCC B2C Commerce backend development

• Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES5/ES6), Node.js concepts, ISML

• Experience with OCAPI, SCAPI, REST/SOAP APIs

• Knowledge of SFCC data models, job framework, import/export feeds

• Familiarity with tools: VS Code, SFCC UX Studio, Git, Jira

• Salesforce B2C Commerce Developer Certification (preferred)
