SAP Project Manager – AutoSys Migration

An organization is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the end-to-end migration of SAP and non-SAP batch workloads from legacy scheduling platforms to Broadcom AutoSys Workload Automation. The role involves project governance, cross-functional coordination, migration planning and production cutover with minimal business disruption.

Key Responsibilities

1. Migration Strategy and Planning

• Develop the migration roadmap, project plan, methodology, resource allocation and timelines.

• Coordinate the migration of SAP and non-SAP batch jobs to Broadcom AutoSys.

• Track milestones, budgets, deliverables and project progress.

2. Scope and Job Inventory Management

• Lead discovery and audits of existing batch jobs and scheduling dependencies.

• Identify SAP event triggers, custom ABAP programs, interface schedules and operational SLAs.

• Coordinate migration activities across development, QA and production environments.

3. Cross-Functional Governance

• Coordinate SAP Basis, SAP functional teams, infrastructure, IT Operations and third-party vendors.

• Manage stakeholder expectations and conduct project steering committee meetings.

• Track dependencies and drive timely issue resolution.

4. Cutover and Risk Management

• Develop cutover plans, rehearsal schedules and parallel-run validation strategies.

• Establish rollback and contingency plans for production migration.

• Manage project risks, UAT issues, operational readiness testing and defect resolution.

5. Hypercare and Handover

• Oversee post-go-live hypercare and monitor SLA stability.

• Coordinate handover of standard operating procedures to global IT Operations and L2/L3 support teams.

• Ensure operational readiness following migration.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 10+ years of overall experience, as stated in the vacancy headline.

• At least 7 years of IT Project Management experience, as specified in the qualifications.

• Proven experience managing enterprise workload automation or job scheduler migration projects involving AutoSys and SAP.

• Strong understanding of Broadcom AutoSys architecture, JIL, job dependencies and agent configurations.

• Knowledge of SAP background job processing, including SM36, SM37, CCMS and Central Job Scheduling.

• Understanding of SAP interfaces, including IDocs, BW process chains and ABAP batch jobs.

• Strong project governance, stakeholder management, risk management and cutover planning skills.
