Senior Full-Stack Liferay Developer – Liferay + React

The developer will build, customise and maintain enterprise portals using Liferay DXP 7.4, Java and React. The role also involves system integrations, deployment automation and providing technical guidance to development teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and support enterprise solutions using Liferay DXP 7.4.

• Customise portals using OSGi, Service Builder, Headless REST APIs and related Liferay technologies.

• Implement workflows, permissions, content management and search capabilities.

• Develop enterprise applications and integrations using Java, Spring, Spring Boot and Hibernate.

• Build frontend components using React, JavaScript and TypeScript.

• Integrate React applications with Liferay client extensions, custom elements and headless services.

• Write and maintain unit and frontend tests using JUnit, Jest or equivalent frameworks.

• Support CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation and source control using Azure DevOps and Git.

• Collaborate with development teams and provide technical guidance.

• Apply AI-assisted development tools where appropriate.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Liferay DXP

• 8+ years of experience developing and supporting enterprise Liferay solutions.

• Expert knowledge of Liferay DXP 7.4, OSGi, Service Builder, Headless REST APIs and portal customisation.

• Knowledge of workflows, permissions, content management and Elasticsearch.

Java & Enterprise Development

• 5+ years of Java/Jakarta EE experience.

• Strong knowledge of Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, REST APIs and enterprise integrations.

• Experience with JUnit or equivalent testing frameworks.

React & Frontend

• 4+ years of React development experience.

• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5 and Tailwind CSS.

• Experience with Liferay client extensions, React custom elements, headless integration and Jest.

DevOps & Cloud

• Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, source control and deployment automation.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and enterprise deployment strategies.

• Knowledge of GitHub Copilot, Cursor or similar AI-assisted development tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Docker and containerisation.

• Azure cloud architecture.

• AI-enabled solutions, intelligent search, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and document-based AI.

• Enterprise content management and complex system integrations.

• Insurance industry experience.
