Telecom Field Engineer / Engineer Assistant

Airtel is hiring candidates for field operations supporting its fiber network installation, maintenance, and customer connectivity work across Bhubaneswar.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Airtel engineers and technicians with fiber laying, cable pulling, and installation.

• Carry tools, equipment, ladders, and materials to customer sites and work locations.

• Support splicing activities, pole mounting, distribution point (DP) box fixing, and ducting work.

• Assist with digging, backfilling, and route preparation for fiber networks.

• Maintain tools, keep work areas clean, and follow site safety instructions.

• Assist with loading and unloading materials between stores and field locations.

• Support maintenance drives, fault rectification, and new connection setup.

• Coordinate with the team leader and follow daily work instructions.

Eligibility Criteria

• Graduate or B.Tech qualification.

• Age between 18 and 32 years.

• Freshers are eligible.

• Prior helper or labour experience in telecom or electrical work is preferred.

• Physical fitness for fieldwork and material handling.

• Willingness to learn telecom and fiber-related technical work.

• Basic understanding of Hindi and Odia for team coordination.

• Punctuality, discipline, and willingness to work across Bhubaneswar.

• Valid bike driving licence is mandatory.

Salary and Benefits

• ₹24,000 CTC per month.

• ₹20,500 net take-home per month.
