We are Hiring at Colate - Senior Fullstack Engineer (Remote Work)

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of features, from technical design and implementation to testing, deployment, and post-release monitoring

• Design and implement backend services and APIs, including data modeling, validation, and robust error handling

• Build and maintain frontend features with accessible, responsive, and maintainable UI components

• Collaborate with product and design to translate requirements into technical solutions and clear acceptance criteria

• Improve system reliability by identifying bottlenecks, addressing bugs, and participating in on-call or incident response as needed

• Write and maintain automated tests to ensure quality and reduce regressions

• Contribute to architecture and engineering standards, including code reviews, refactoring, and performance/security improvements

• Mentor teammates through code reviews, technical guidance, and sharing best practices

• Document key decisions, system behavior, and operational runbooks to support long-term maintainability

Requirements

• Must have: 5+ years of professional experience building production web applications with strong fullstack capabilities

• Must have: Proficiency with modern frontend development (e.g., React, TypeScript, HTML/CSS) and component-based UI patterns

• Must have: Proficiency with backend development (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java, or C#) and building REST/GraphQL APIs

• Must have: Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and writing efficient queries

• Must have: Strong understanding of authentication/authorization, security best practices, and secure coding

• Must have: Experience with cloud platforms and deployment workflows (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure; CI/CD)

• Must have: Strong testing practices (unit, integration, and/or end-to-end) and experience improving test coverage

• Must have: Ability to lead technical design discussions, make trade-offs, and deliver high-quality outcomes

• Must have: Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across functions

• Nice to have: Experience with event-driven architectures (e.g., queues, pub/sub) and background job processing

• Nice to have: Experience with performance optimization (frontend performance, API latency, caching, profiling)

• Nice to have: Familiarity with observability tooling (logging, metrics, tracing) and incident response

• Nice to have: Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to engineering standards and documentation
