We are Hiring at Colate - Senior Quality Engineer | 5+ and 8+ Years (Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, & Gurgaon)

Responsibilities

Design and execute complex automation testing strategies and frameworks for

Functional and Non-Functional requirements of Data and AI platforms.

• Test across modern data and event-driven technologies using tools such as PyTest,

Cucumber, Behave, DBT, GreatExpectations, GCP DVT, Monte Carlo, Soda and Deequ.

• Validate data across engineering and orchestration stacks including BigQuery, Spanner,

Apache Kafka, Airflow, Spark, Cloud Composer, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Snowflake, ETL and

SQL.

• Ensure data governance and quality using tools such as Looker, Ataccama, Dataplex,

Collibra and PowerBI. Create or accurately specify complex test data, accounting for

referential integrity, data quality and governance requirements.

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling including Jenkins,

Harness, Terraform and Dynatrace.

• Apply exposure to AI/Analytics tools (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, LangChain,

GenAI) to inform quality strategy for AI-enabled platforms.

Requirements

Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering or a related discipline

with 5+ years of relevant industry experience.

• Strong programming proficiency in Python (preferred), Java or JavaScript.

• Proven experience designing and executing complex test strategies for data and AI

platforms. Working knowledge of modern data and event-driven technologies across

testing, engineering and governance tooling.

• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Harness,

Terraform and Dynatrace. Experience with Agile tools (Jira, Confluence, Xray) and source

code management tools (Git, GitHub).

• Strong analytical mindset with meticulous attention to data quality and referential

integrity.
